How to Be a Happy Teacher

DURING THE celebration the World Teachers’ Day I was tasked to interview retirees and use their stories to inspire teachers.

One of the retirees I had the chance to interview was Mrs. Leticia E. Cabang, retired Schools Division Superintendent. She was the first SDS of the Division of Sarangani and was later transferred to General Santos City.

This video is one of the clips presented during the Word Teachers’ Day celebration at SM Trade Hall, SM City General Santos.

How to Be a Happy Teacher – Tips from Retired SDS Leticia E. Cabang

  • Have a Happy Family – When teachers have a happy home, they can bring that happiness into the classroom.
  • Love Your Work – When teachers love their work they can endure whatever challenges they will face. She also mentioned that one of the reasons why teachers are unhappy with their salaries is that they do not spend their money wisely.
  • Be Passionate About Your Work – Not only should teachers love their work, they should be passionate about it. With passion, they’ll love their work and they’ll love their students.
