6 AlSci students make it to the MSU-SASE top 20

IN THIS year’s Mindanao State University’s Scholastic Aptitude and Scholarship Exam (MSU-SASE), six students of Alabel National Science High School made it to the top 20.

The topnotch students are: Jan Kristia Bacerra (14th), Jewelle Mae Solijon (17th), Ruhel John Besinga (18th), Wilfred Laurence Labuson (18th), Daniel Joh Florence delos Reyes (19th), and Franz RJ Lumantas (20th).

The list includes all the students who took the MSU-SASE for the whole MSU system.

All takers also passed the exam. Others are qualified for cultural scholarship grants.

This is not the first time that AlSci students made it to the top 20. Not only do AlSci students top entrance examinations, they also top licensure examinations.

Ariel Lalisan is a physics teacher at Alabel National Science High School. He is an advocate of constructivism approach in education. He employs active learning and independent learning in his lessons, and, of course, a lot of technology integration. His goal is to produce students who can solve problems on their own using the concepts they learn in the classroom. Ariel Lalisan is a Google Certified Innovator (Google Teachers Academy Southeast Asia 2014) and a community leader at Google Educator Group Sarangani. He is a co-founder of SoCCSKSarGen and he won the Globe Media Excellence Blogger of the Year Award in 2015.
